Football Game Preview: Berthoud Spartans vs. Eaton Reds + How To Watch

Berthoud and Eaton are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Berthoud beat University 21-14.

Berthoud didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Triston Meek, Drake Vining, and Newbill picked up one apiece. Vining has become a key player for Berthoud: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one interception, but 0-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eaton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let Valley get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday. The two-point effort marked the Reds' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Eaton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Berthoud, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
