Shelley faced Minico in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Shelley came out on top against Minico by a score of 10-7. Winning may never get old, but the Russets sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Kynlie Behunin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Shelley got a massive performance out of Sarah Kidman, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base was Kidman's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Vienna Oats, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Shelley's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Minico, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Shelley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Minico: the pair will be back at it again later today.
