Greenville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Northwestern Wildcats with a sharp 10-4 win. Considering the Trojans have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Nick Solderich made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Solderich was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Jackson Leskovac was a standout: he scored two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Justin Schell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Greenville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Greenville pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Northwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Greenville will host Oil City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northwestern, they will venture away from home to face off against Youngsville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
