Softball Recap: Dos Pueblos' Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Dos Pueblos can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Pacifica Tritons. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kaitlyn Ashby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anastasia Brunner, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Zella Cassidy, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Dos Pueblos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Pacifica, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
