Basketball Recap: Martin County Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Martin County extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Parker Watts. The Martin County Cardinals simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Grace Christian 93-47 thanks in part to Watts, who went 14 for 21 on his way to 32 points and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Martin County's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Davis, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Martin County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grace Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Martin County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-63 win against Pikeville on the 14th. As for Grace Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-42 victory against Morgantown Christian Academy on the 20th.
