Volleyball Game Preview: College Park Falcons vs. Northgate Broncos

The College Park Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Northgate Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. College Park will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

College Park hadn't beaten Campolindo on the road since May 13, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Falcons walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cougars.

The win didn't come easy: Campolindo scored at least 22 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 25-22.

Diego Marquez and Attila Yeh were among the main playmakers for College Park as the former had nine digs and four assists and the latter had 19 kills and 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave Yeh a new career-high.

Las Lomas typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Northgate proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

While Northgate might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Las Lomas scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 24-26, 25-23.

Northgate's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 32-3. As for College Park, their record is now 21-5.

College Park suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Northgate in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
