Softball Recap: Marine City Takes a Loss

If Marine City was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Plainwell on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mariners fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 11-10 on Saturday. The Mariners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Marine City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Plainwell, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11.

Coming up, Marine City will host L'Anse Creuse at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Mariners surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plainwell, they are taking a road trip to take on Kalamazoo Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
