Basketball Recap: Walla Walla Takes a Loss

If Walla Walla was riding high fresh off their 64-43 takedown of Wenatchee last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Walla Walla Blue Devils fell just short of the Kamiakin Braves by a score of 55-52 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Braves: they've now lost four in a row.

Walla Walla's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Kamiakin, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Walla Walla won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kennewick at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kennewick will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Walla Walla surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kamiakin, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Hermiston at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kamiakin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Hermiston likes a good challenge.
