Volleyball Recap: Glenbrook South Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Glenbrook South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past the Glenbrook North Spartans 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won eight in a row.

Glenbrook South had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Logan Ball was nothing short of spectacular: he had eight digs and two aces. What's more, he racked up 22 assists, the most he's had over his last eight games.

Glenbrook North's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Jaiden Han and Connor Chung. Han had nine digs and one assist, while Chung had 11 assists and four digs.

Glenbrook South pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Glenbrook North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Glenbrook South will square off against Barrington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Fillies/Broncos have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Glenbrook North, they will face off against Deerfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
