Baseball Recap: Walker Comes Up Short

Walker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Amant Gators. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Walker's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for St. Amant, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

While Walker had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
