Volleyball Game Preview: Minisink Valley Warriors vs. Cornwall Central Dragons

Minisink Valley is 1-9 against Cornwall Central since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Minisink Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Monday, Minisink Valley got the win against Kingston by a conclusive 3-0.

The win didn't come easy: Kingston scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Cornwall Central faced Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Dragons fell 2-0 to the Spartans. The Dragons have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Cornwall Central's defeat dropped their record down to 25-3-4. As for Minisink Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Minisink Valley came up short against Cornwall Central in their previous matchup back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
