Softball Recap: Juanita's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Juanita had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Eastlake Wolves. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Elliott Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Josie Peeler was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Calista Labugen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Juanita's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Eastlake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Juanita will head out to challenge Redmond at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastlake, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bothell/Inglemoor at 4:00 p.m.
