Volleyball Recap: Illinois Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Illinois Math & Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Earlville Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15.

Earlville was led to victory by Elizabeth Vazquez and Payton Actis. Vazquez had 12 digs and four aces, while Actis had ten assists and seven digs. Vazquez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Illinois Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-21-1. As for Earlville, they pushed their record up to 20-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Illinois Math & Science Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kaneland on the 28th. As for Earlville, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Leland on the 27th.
