Soccer Recap: Altus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lawton last Friday, Altus came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Duncan Demons by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Altus were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Duncan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Altus has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-1 record this season. As for Duncan, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Altus will take on rival Elgin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Duncan is set to challenge their familiar foe MacArthur at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
