Softball Recap: Delaware Academy Beats Harpursville for Their Fourth Straight Win

Delaware Academy won the last time they faced Harpursville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 23-8 margin over the Hornets. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 15 runs or more this season.

Delaware Academy let Peyton Garcia and Leah Dennis run wild. Garcia went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI, while Dennis went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Dennis has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi White, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Delaware Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win keeps Delaware Academy at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 15.8 runs this season. As for Harpursville, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
