Basketball Recap: Jackson Christian Royals vs. Concord Yellowjackets
If Jackson Christian was riding high fresh off their 62-30 takedown of North Adams-Jerome last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jackson Christian Royals had to suffer through a 56-23 loss at the hands of the Concord Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 112th).

Jackson Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Boll, who posted three points and 11 boards. Boll is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last seven games she's played.
Concord found their leader in sophomore Bradie Lehman, who went 7-for-14 en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Cieara Barrett was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.
Jackson Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Concord, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
Jackson Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Concord, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-34 victory against St. Patrick on the 10th.
