Basketball Game Preview: Deep Run Wildcats vs. Meadowbrook Monarchs

The Deep Run Wildcats will challenge the Meadowbrook Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deep Run will be strutting in after a win while Meadowbrook will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Deep Run didn't have too much trouble with Godwin as they won 53-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Meadowbrook scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Dinwiddie, falling 58-35. The loss continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Generals: they've now lost five in a row.

Meadowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Deep Run, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything came up roses for Deep Run against Meadowbrook when the teams last played back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 59-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Deep Run since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
