Baseball Recap: Atkins Gets the Win

Atkins proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 17) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the East Davidson Golden Eagles 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Camels have posted since March 3rd.

Atkins' victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for East Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Atkins will venture away from home to square off against Mount Tabor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Camels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for East Davidson, they will host Southwestern Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
