Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. North Canyon Rattlers

The Paradise Valley Trojans will challenge the North Canyon Rattlers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Paradise Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully North Canyon likes a good challenge.

Paradise Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Buckeye with a sharp 80-59 victory on Monday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Hawks are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 101-51, which was the final score in North Canyon's tilt against Canyon View on Monday.

Paradise Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for North Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Paradise Valley beat North Canyon 64-53 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Does Paradise Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Canyon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
