It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Mountain View Bruins ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past Crimson Cliffs with a 69-65 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Crimson Cliffs' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drake Carroll, who scored 23 points. Luke Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Crimson Cliffs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Mountain View won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Dixie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Crimson Cliffs, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Cyprus at 1:00 p.m.
