Softball Recap: Washburn Comes Up Short

Washburn came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wisdom Pioneers, falling 15-1. The Beavers haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Washburn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washburn will venture away from home to face off against Southern Aroostook at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wisdom, they will head out to take on Central Aroostook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup will give the Pioneers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
