Football Game Preview: Wakefield Wolverines vs. Rolesville Rams + Official Tickets

Wakefield is 0-8 against Rolesville since October of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Wakefield has given up an average of 39 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wakefield's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Corinth Holders on Friday. They had to suffer through a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Pirates are ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, while Rolesville put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Broughton. The Rams blew past the Capitals 51-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Capitals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wakefield better keep an eye on Amir Brown. He was instrumental in Rolesville's win, rushing for 285 yards and five scores while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 116.3 rushing yards per game.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Rolesville proved: they limited Broughton to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Malachi Harris stood above the rest. He picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (3.5 for loss). Rolesville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.4.

Wakefield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rolesville, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Wakefield took a serious blow against Rolesville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 58-7. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolverines were down 23-0.
