Volleyball Recap: Rensselaer Central Takes a Loss

The Rensselaer Central Bombers came up short against the Griffith Panthers on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Rensselaer Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-15.

Vivienne Kosiba paced Rensselaer Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Kosiba got some help from Rylie Moore and her 20 assists. Hailey Hughes controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Rensselaer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Griffith, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Rensselaer Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Frontier on the 9th. As for Griffith, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Whiting on the 8th.
