Baseball Game Preview: Waco Lions vs. Cedar Creek Eagles

The Waco Lions will face off against the Cedar Creek Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Waco has now lost seven straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 12.

Waco lost 13-1 to Tournament Opponent on Friday.

Waco saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chayse Rhynes, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Cedar Creek came up short against Yoakum on Friday, falling 14-7. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cedar Creek fell to 2-1. As for Waco, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Waco suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Cedar Creek in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Waco avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
