Basketball Recap: St. Mary Takes a Loss

After flying high against McCracken County last Tuesday, St. Mary came back down to earth. The St. Mary Vikings came up short against the Marshall County Marshals on Thursday, falling 68-48. The Vikings have struggled against the Marshals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Marshall County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

St. Mary has already played their next match (against Christian County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marshall County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Graves County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marshall County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Graves County likes a good challenge.
