Marion County has gone 7-1 against Whitwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Marion County made easy work of Tyner Academy and carried off a 13-2 win.

Meanwhile, Whitwell got the win against Heritage Christian Academy on Saturday by a conclusive 10-3. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Whitwell is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Marion County, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Marion County came out on top in a nail-biter against Whitwell in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
