Mt. Vernon won against Salem last Thursday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Mt. Vernon Rams walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes. The win was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on six straight.
Cale Maurer was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 11 en route to 15 points and three blocks. Trevor Mcclure was another key player, putting up ten points.
Mt. Vernon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Teutopolis, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
