Soccer Recap: Odyssey Institute Takes a Loss

Odyssey Institute fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Benjamin Franklin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Benjamin Franklin Chargers by a score of 3-2. The Minotaur were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Christopher San Juan and Andrew Morales scored both of Odyssey Institute's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Odyssey Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Benjamin Franklin, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Odyssey Institute has already played their next match (against Valley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Benjamin Franklin will face off against ALA - Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as ALA - Ironwood comes in on four and Benjamin Franklin on five.
