Football Recap: Mcintosh County Academy Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

McIntosh County Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on the Islands Sharks with a sharp 45-22 victory. The Buccaneers pushed the score to 37-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sharks cut but never quite recovered from.

Earnest McIntosh was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 253 yards and three scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Jackson, who threw for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something McIntosh County Academy proved: they limited Islands to a paltry 1.7 yards per carry.
