Basketball Game Preview: Hephzibah Rebels vs. Lincoln County Red Devils

Having just played yesterday, the Hephzibah Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln County Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hephzibah is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Hephzibah was beaten by Westside 81-52. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Patriots are ranked 112th).

Despite their defeat, Hephzibah saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. ISAIAH RICHARDSON, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. JALANI JONES was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Harlem by a score of 67-64. The Red Devils have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hephzibah, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.

Hephzibah skirted past Lincoln County 62-60 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hephzibah since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
