Recap: North White Vikings vs. DeMotte Christian Knights
The North White Vikings suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 54-34 defeat at the hands of DeMotte Christian. North White has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Defeat or not, North White got some senior leadership from Chandler Hood and Dane Hood. Hood scored seven points along with six rebounds, while Hood. scored 12 points along with two steals. Hood hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games.
North White struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeMotte Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Terpstra, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Davis Peterson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
North White has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for DeMotte Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
North White the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Carroll presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North White in Indiana (Carroll is ranked 206th, while North White is ranked 444th). As for DeMotte Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Pioneer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
