Baseball Recap: Glen Ridge Takes a Loss

Glen Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the South Hunterdon Eagles.

Glen Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Murray, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. DJ De La Fuente was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Glen Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for South Hunterdon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Ridge will take on Linden at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.6 runs per game on average), something the Ridgers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Hunterdon, they will square off against Penns Grove at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
