Football Recap: West York Area's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

After soaring to 37 points the game before, West York Area was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 14-7 to the New Oxford Colonials. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jensen Ferber threw for 158 yards on 25 of 45 attempts. Conrad Beatty was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

New Oxford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex Brown out in front who rushed for 158 yards while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those 158 rushing yards gave Brown a new career-high. Brody Holmes was in the mix as well, providing New Oxford with two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, West York Area fell to 7-1. As for New Oxford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

West York Area has already played their next contest, a 35-7 win against Susquehannock on the 17th. As for New Oxford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-7 victory against Warwick on the 17th.
