Carey dropped their record down to 6-12 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-2 to the Monroeville Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Taryn Tyler was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Reiber, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Coming up, Carey will challenge Buckeye Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
