Soccer Recap: Brookville Comes Up Short

Brookville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Amherst County Lancers. Brookville were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Amherst County earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Brookville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Amherst County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Brookville will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookville will need to watch out since Jefferson Forest have now posted at least four goals in their last three games. As for Amherst County, they will challenge Rustburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
