Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln lost against Stover back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9, 25-18.

Camryn Smallwood paced Lincoln's offense, picking up seven kills. Smallwood got some help from Eden Eichler and her 11 assists. Eichler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Stover found their leader in sophomore Lainee Menning, who had seven aces and six digs. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Menning.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Stover, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.

Lincoln has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Leeton on the 17th. As for Stover, they will face off against Sacred Heart at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
