Baseball Recap: Pleasant Hill Gets the Win

Pleasant Hill came out on top against Sisters on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Billies skirted past the Outlaws 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Billies: when they faced off against the Outlaws back in April, they had to take a 10-8 loss.

Judah Kelso was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Kelso wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Fisher, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Landon Kelley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pleasant Hill's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-11-1. As for Sisters, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 12-5.

Sisters has already played their next match (against Harrisburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pleasant Hill will be paying especially close attention to the Outlaws' contest: after the Outlaws face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Pleasant Hill again at 4:35 p.m. on Friday.
