Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Rock Port's Tenth in Last 13 Outings

Rock Port's tournament run continued when they took on Northeast on Saturday. The Blue Jays came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 2-0.

Rock Port found their leader in freshman Stevie Gaines, who had 11 aces and ten assists. Those 11 aces set a new season-high mark for Gaines. Presley Carlson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Rock Port was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Rock Port is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3-3 record this season. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Rock Port has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against West Platte on the 27th. As for Northeast, they will venture away from home to challenge Southeast at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
