Baseball Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-3 defeat last Wednesday.

Rock Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Walker Thomason, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Fort Mill, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will square off against Nation Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Mill, they will challenge Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Mill is facing Northwestern at the right time seeing as Northwestern is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
