Basketball Recap: Southwest Legacy Find Success

Southwest Legacy's tournament run continued when they took on Pioneer on Friday. The Southwest Legacy Titans came out on top against the Pioneer Diamondbacks by a score of 52-43.

Southwest Legacy had a senior duo take command as Giovanni Aranda went 9 of 13 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds and David Cavazos posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Rubio, who had five points.

Southwest Legacy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Pioneer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Southwest Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-25 victory against Pace on the 7th. As for Pioneer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-29 loss against King on the 7th.
