Preview: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Gadsden Panthers
Organ Mountain is 9-1 against Gadsden since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Organ Mountain Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Gadsden Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Organ Mountain will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
Organ Mountain stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Mayfield for the full four quarters, racking up a 85-50 victory at home. Organ Mountain's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Brandon Kehres, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. YehNhi Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, Gadsden pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 71-55 to Alamogordo. Gadsden has not had much luck with Alamogordo recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Organ Mountain pushed their record up to 19-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Gadsden, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Organ Mountain against Gadsden in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 78-32 win. With Organ Mountain ahead 57-20 at the half, the match was all but over already.
