Basketball Recap: Regent Prep Find Success

Regent Prep hadn't done well against Riverfield Country Day recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Regent Prep had just enough and edged the Riverfield Country Day Ravens out 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Regent Prep has posted since February 9, 2024.

Riverfield Country Day's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Harper, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. That's the most steals Harper has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Max Harper, who went 8 for 16 en route to 19 points and three steals.

Regent Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Riverfield Country Day, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Regent Prep has already played their next contest (against Dove Science Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverfield Country Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-29 victory against Wright Christian on the 14th.
