Marist waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Starkville Yellowjackets.

Katie Elder paced Marist's offense, picking up five kills. Elder got some help from Leela Mehta and her eight assists. Molly Hayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Marist's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Starkville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12-1.

Marist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Buckhorn on the 23rd. As for Starkville, they will challenge Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
