The home team had won the previous five meetings between Evansville Memorial and Evansville Reitz, and Evansville Memorial kept the tradition alive. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Panthers 7-6. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
