Softball Recap: Platt Takes a Loss

Platt managed to slip by Avon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 10-3 to the Falcons on Monday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Platt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skyler Wisniewski, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Adrienne McDonald also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Platt's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Avon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Platt will square off against Simsbury at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avon, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-11 win against South Windsor on the 29th.
