The MaxPreps regional high school football computer rankings are only two weeks old and already there are two new No. 1 teams.

In the northeast, St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) takes over the top spot from St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) after a big win in California against Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.).

Meanwhile in the Southwest, No. 1 Westlake (Austin) lost to Liberty (Henderson, Nev.), opening the door for Cedar Hill, a narrow winner over Mansfield, to claim the No. 1 ranking.

The remaining No. 1 teams include Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) in the west, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) in the south and Colerain (Cincinnati) in the midwest.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:

West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
