Football Recap: Norfolk Panthers vs. Creighton Prep Junior Jays        
        
		
             A  victory for Norfolk just wasn't in the cards  on Friday as the  team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They lost  45-20 to the Creighton Prep Junior Jays. The Panthers lost against the Junior Jays in their previous head to head  back in October of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the  35-31 score last time.
 Despite the loss, Norfolk still got an impressive performance from   Drew Streich, who picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.  Cole Signor also helped out by tossing the rock for 261 yards.
 Creighton Prep was led to victory by  Jacob Ruby and  Tony Coniglio.  Ruby rushed for 196 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, while  Coniglio rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The dominant performance gave  Ruby a new career-high in  rushing yards. Another player making a difference was  Angelo Walker, who rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
 Norfolk now  has a losing record at 4-5. As for Creighton Prep,  with the  win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.
 Norfolk does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Creighton Prep, they will challenge Elkhorn South at 8:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Elkhorn South is coming into the  match with four straight  victories at home,  so Creighton Prep will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
