Volleyball Recap: Miami-Yoder Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Miami-Yoder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fountain Valley Danes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Danes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Miami-Yoder wouldn't go down easily and took Fountain Valley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 24-26, 8-25, 15-7.

Madison Kragel paced Miami-Yoder's offense, picking up seven kills. Kragel got some help from Joanna Cabrera and her four assists. Cabrera was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Miami-Yoder's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Fountain Valley, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.

As of now, neither Miami-Yoder nor the Danes have any future games scheduled.
