Softball Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short

Lawrence County was the 12-9 winner over Johnson Central when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Golden Eagles on Thursday, falling 7-1.

Lawrence County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Johnson Central, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence County will welcome Symmes Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Johnson Central, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Martin County at 6:00 p.m. The Golden Eagles are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
