Baseball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Extends Winning Streak to Three

Concordia Lutheran waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Cooper Dragons by a score of 5-2. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jackson Clary looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Concordia Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Hudson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Jax Fisher was another, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Concordia Lutheran's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Cooper, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Concordia Lutheran will be taking part in a tournament against Strake Jesuit at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Cooper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cypress Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
